WeINSPIRE is Closing After 11 Years of Impact

Dear Friends,

As of today, the WeINSPIRE Movement is officially closed. While the organization has ended, the mission and love that fueled it live on in each of you.

What began in 2014 with a simple email and the first WeINSPIRE Day quickly grew into an eleven-year movement that touched countless lives.

Together, we:

  • Built an internship program that trained more than 20 students and community members, launching young storytellers into their careers.

  • Honored everyday heroes through the WeINSPIRE Ambassadors program.

  • Secured official trademark status for WeINSPIRE, honoring the uniqueness of this body of work and ensuring it cannot be duplicated.

  • Became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018.

  • Published over 200 stories of inspiration, reaching thousands around the world.

  • Celebrated a decade of impact in 2024 before closing this year, leaving behind a legacy of storytelling, resilience, and hope.

The true legacy of WeINSPIRE isn’t just in milestones. It lives in the interns who found their voices, the readers who felt seen, the volunteers who gave their time and energy, the board members who guided our vision, the donors who made our work possible, the family and friends who stood with me through every season, and the supporters who believed that inspiration is not a luxury, but a necessity for change.

WeINSPIRE was never just an organization; it was people, it was family, it was light in times when the world felt heavy.

Our website will remain live as a digital archive, preserving our stories and movement for future generations to revisit and be inspired. All content remains trademarked, but we welcome you to read, share, and carry its spirit forward with proper credit.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You helped transform a vision into a movement, and though this chapter has closed, this is not goodbye. You never know what the WeINSPIRE spirit has in store next.

With deep gratitude and hope,

ree

In this 2016 moment, I spoke on the sacred power of telling your story and what it meant to carry the title of founder of WeINSPIRE. Nearly a decade later, as I close this chapter, I remain in awe of that honor and the community that made it real.
